Extraordinary Contacts
Your address book, fast. Every account, one list.
A contact manager for people with thousands of contacts.
It works on the contacts already in your iCloud, Google and Exchange
accounts, and it never asks you to move them anywhere.
Version 0.6 beta. Mac: universal (Apple silicon and Intel), macOS 15 or later, 3.5 MB, notarized by Apple. iPhone and iPad: public beta on Apple's TestFlight, iOS 18 or later.
Beta software. Back up your contacts first. Extraordinary Contacts edits your real address book, in your real accounts. It might lose a phone number, merge two people you meant to keep apart, or, for all we can promise, kill your dog.
Before you start: in Apple's Contacts app, choose File ▸ Export ▸ Contacts Archive. It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and you use it at your own risk.
What you get
- Fast. Arrow through thousands of contacts as fast as you can hold the key. Search by name, company, email, phone, area code, city or ZIP, and it answers as you type.
- Every account in one list. iCloud, Google and Exchange side by side. Drag people onto an account to move them there, or hold Option to copy.
- Circles. Sort people by closeness: your 5, 15, 50, 150 and 500.
- Duplicates, merged properly. Pick each name, number and email to keep, choose the photo, and keep every old photo too.
- History, not deletion. Mark an old email or number as former instead of losing it. Keep past jobs. Deleted contacts go to a Trash you can restore from.
- Edit in place. Double-click any field to change it. Paste a whole address and it splits itself into street, city, state and ZIP.
- Notes on the Mac, shown and edited right on the contact.
- Nothing collected. No account with us, no analytics, no servers of ours. Your contacts stay in your accounts; extras go to your own iCloud Drive. See the privacy policy.
